| We have 2 rooms of dancing for you at Midtown Stomp this Friday night. We promise great DJing from all of your favorite DJ's!
Note that March 24th we are moving Midtown Stomp for one night only to the Temple of the Eastern Star at 2714 K Street. We will having dancing with some great out of town DJ's at the YWCA on Sunday, March 26th.

Midtown Stomp offers swing dancing every Friday night
at the Sacramento YWCA at 17th and L in Midtown Sacramento.
We offer FREE beginning swing dancing classes on Fridays from 8-9 and
dancing from 9-12 with live bands once a month. Midtown Stomp
also sponsors regular series classes during the week and private
lessons are available.
The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) have
answers to the most common questions. Give us a call or email if there is anything
we can do to help you get started dancing! Admission is $6 on DJ'd dance nights
and $10 on live band nights. Beginning lessons are included with admission.
Jitterbug Jam started on Feb 9th and is Midtown Stomp's newest addition to our swing dancing line-up. This new event takes place at the Sacramento Turn Verein at 3349 J Street between 33rd and 34th streets. We will be offering included beginning lessons, and more of the great dancing that you've come to expect from Midtown Stomp events. This historic venue offers a beautiful wood dance floor and was built in the 1920's. Jitterbug Jam is the next major step in Midtown Stomp's plan to bring swing dancing back to Sacramento and back to the historic ballrooms that were built to swing!

| Midtown Stomp is putting Barbara Morrison on stage at the Masonic Temple for the headline event of the Sacramento Lindy Exchange! Barbara's resume is a who's who of jazz. Any question about how great she is? Check out this video of Barbara in action.
Barbara now celebrates her 30th year in the music industry. Over the years she has performed with a virtual "who's who" of the Jazz and the Blues worlds. That list includes legends like; Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Charles, James Moody, Ron Carter, Etta James, Esther Phillips, David T. Walker, Jimmy Smith, Johnny Otis, Dr. John, Kenny Burrell, Terence Blanchard, Joe Sample, Cedar Walton, Nancy Wilson, Mel Torme, Joe Williams, Tony Bennett, and Keb' Mo. Additional, Ms. Morrison guest stars with the Count Basie Orchestra, the Clayton-Hamilton Orchestra and Doc Severinsen's Big Band. |
